Roles

Roles at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park:

Africa Park Greeter Host/Hostess duties may include:

  • Actively greeting and interacting with Guests while promoting the participant's cultural heritage and individual country and the continent of Africa
  • Delivering both formal and informal conservation presentations and initiating conversations about topics such as wildlife, animal behavior and conservation
  • Delivering both formal and informal cultural presentations and conversations about topics such as the history, geography, people and culture of the participant's country
  • Representing the participant's country at special events
  • Providing animal and park information to Guests
  • Assisting with other duties as needed, such as audience control at daily parades

Roles at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge:

Food and Beverage duties may include:

  • Greeting and interacting with Guests while promoting the participant's cultural heritage
  • Selling food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages at outdoor carts
  • Escorting Guests to tables in the restaurants
  • Using a computerized cash register and reservation system
  • Taking Guests' orders and serving food
  • Setting, stocking and cleaning tables, carts and restaurants
  • Emptying trash cans

Lobby Greeter duties may include:

  • Actively greeting and interacting with Guests while promoting the participant's cultural heritage
  • Assisting Guests with itinerary and dinner recommendations and general information
  • Conducting resort activities such as guided tours of the hotel and evening story time

Savanna Guide duties may include:

  • Greeting and interacting with Guests while promoting the participant's cultural heritage
  • Delivering both formal and informal conservation presentations and initiating conversations on topics such as wildlife, animal behavior and conservation
  • Monitoring Guest safety with the animals
  • Handling animal-welfare issues
  • Providing animal and hotel information to Guests
