This unique 12-month program offers friendly, outgoing,
hospitality-oriented individuals from Italy the opportunity to represent the
cultures and traditions of their country while interacting with the Guests from
all over the world. Participants hired as Cultural Representatives will work in
the Epcot® Italy Pavilion.
Epcot opened at the Walt Disney World®
Resort on October 1, 1982. As part of Epcot, World Showcase has become
"a community of nations; the only permanent international exposition of its
kind, focusing on the culture, traditions, tourism and accomplishments of
people around the world." This community of nations is represented by the
United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, Mexico,
the United States of America and Canada.
Entering the Italy Pavilion, Guests are transported to the
heart of glorious Venice and find themselves in the shadow of the breathtaking
campanile, or bell tower, a symbol of the romantic atmosphere and grace of one
of Italy's most beloved cities.
The Palace houses a boutique selling examples of
outstanding Italian craftsmanship. In the adjacent shop, Guests can find
fragrances, fine silver and gold jewelry. Across the square, in a villa
reminiscent of the Italian countryside, another boutique features specialties
of Italy, such as Italian wines, chocolates, stationery and masks. Drawn into
the pavilion by the sight of the sea god Neptune and his dolphins playing in
the Renaissance fountain, Guests arrive at the full-service restaurant, Tutto
Italia Ristorante. Here they can experience Italian cuisine at its finest from
all regions of the country. For dessert, Guests may sample traditional gelati,
waiting for them at the cart outside.
