This unique 12-month program offers friendly, outgoing, hospitality-oriented individuals from the many regions of China the opportunity to represent the cultures and traditions of their country while interacting with Guests from all over the world. Participants hired as Cultural Representatives will work in the Epcot® China Pavilion.

Epcot opened at the Walt Disney World® Resort on October 1, 1982. As part of Epcot, World Showcase has become "a community of nations; the only permanent international exposition of its kind, focusing on the culture, traditions, tourism and accomplishments of people around the world." This community of nations is represented by the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, Mexico, the United States of America and Canada.

Approaching the China Pavilion, Guests are greeted by a large, colorful gate. Ahead, three terraces rise to form the base for the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Inside the Hall of Prayer, delicate artwork embellishes the high ceiling and stone floor. The entire Hall serves as the pre-show lobby with wondrous scenes of China, including the Great Wall, the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, and cities such as Beijing, Guilin and Shanghai.

Exiting the theater, Guests find themselves in the lively, bustling atmosphere of a modern Chinese commercial district. The large marketplace of indoor shops and outdoor carts features such quality Chinese products as silk robes, jade jewelry, books, porcelain, lanterns, art objects, handcrafted paper goods and more. Opposite the shops is the House of the Whispering Willows, an art gallery featuring changing exhibits of rare and authentic pieces of Chinese art.

Next to the merchandise shops is the Lotus Blossom Café, a counter-service restaurant where Guests may snack on egg rolls or other Chinese treats. The elegant Nine Dragons Restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring specialties from many areas of China, including the Hunan, Szechuan and Canton provinces. Outside on the terrace, Guests enjoy performances by Chinese acrobats and other authentic entertainment of this very diverse country.
